I sell on ebay and am looking for a wholesaler that will dropship item’s for me at no cost. Heard smc is a good place to buy from. Help please

Stop messing around with sites that anyone can get into. I buy from www.jboutman.com. They stock over 30 manufacturers. Email them and say you are a reseller looking to set up a wholesale account. They will email you back a login id and password. Here is the email address: sales@jboutman.com

I wanna start selling on ebay. Just would like to know if anyone out there knows of any genuine wholesale companies or dropship companies in the UK? The reason I say genuine is because there are some ‘wholesalers’ out there that pretend to be wholesalers but they are actually selling at retail prices and making the profit off you. So they’re not worth considering.

Anyone know?

wholesale what?
there is not just a general ‘wholesale store’ you need to find specialist suppliers.
a lot of them will not sell to you without a company registration number and vat number. they will also require you make large orders at once, usually £500 – £1000 min order.

you could try esources.co.uk they list a lot of business to business suppliers – a lot are genuine but don’t forget anyone can advertise there and rip you off so research before you pay out, ask for samples and a visit of the manufacturing premises.

I wouldn’t consider dropshipping either. if the customer complains about something then how do you know what they were sent? was the item of a quality you would have liked to recieve or was it a big ripoff?
also the price you will have to sell at to make profit from dropshipping makes you a lot less attractive than other ebayers selling from their own stock at greatly reduced price.

I just recently established my business, obtaining all the required documentation and credentials to do legitimate business. I am just getting started so I have very limited capital (just over $2500, but will spend some of them for my website I am getting graphically designed, and SEO friendly) to work with. My actual credit is bad after a huge mess a couple of years back with an X-fiance who took me for a ride : (

So I have begun the first stages of interaction with legitimate wholesale distributors to set-up retail accounts to sell their products. I am also working with some of them who agreed to dropship for me. I have marketing and sales plans and everything I can possibly think of to get my business going. But then it dawned on me today, with no credit, and having to find and institute a merchant credit account (which i hear is hard for home businesses), I have a problem that totally slipped my mind when setting up my business plan. First problem is finding a merchant account. My second big problem is if I do they only deposit once a week. How can I expect my customers to wait a week for my merchant account to deposit their funds in my bank account before I can order their product, and then they have to wait the time it takes my manufacturers/ distributors to ship them the product. We’re talking 2 weeks there. They would just find another seller. Then I thought maybe I can see if merchant accounts can split the payment, net profit to me and cost to distributor. But what if there is a chargeback so I knew that would not work. Maybe I could have the distributor take the payments and they deposit the net sales into my bank account. For one thing why would they go through so much trouble for a new retailer, that would look pretty bad on me to even ask as they would have to incure the CC companies charges on my sales which would be out of the question. Not to mention chargebacks. It would not work for me. It would seem a simple enough thought to say why not just pay for it out of my own capital in my bank account as I would get the money plus net sales deposited within a week from merchant account (my first thought when this all dawned on me). Then I realized that the demand of too many products at once (which could easily happen in one day) could end up exceeding my current capital in my bank account and then I end up screwed looking bad on both sides. Paypal holds your money for 21 days to make sure there are no chargebacks so that would not work. No distributor would even think of extending a line of credit this early in business.

Does anyone have any idea first to the thought of getting a merchant account, and secondly to the dilemma in accepting the payment and paying distributor for shipment of goods?

the only way to do a virtual "net 30" is on a Credit card and make the minimum until YOU get paid

I am interested and just looking for more information about buying wholesale products and reselling them for profit on ebay. I’v searched for hundreds of websites so called "wholesale sites" sellings things from posters to clothes to electronics. They seem a little too expensive you would only make pocket change although you are the middleman since a lot of them dropship. My question is I know I would need a DBA + Business license in Washington which closes around $218 if I obtain that, can I really buy REAL WHOLESALE items not rip offs online? If so after obtaining the license (should I even obtain one?) where can I get a list of wholesellers. Also i signed up for a website $15 for 6 months bunch of wholeseller websites which was crap, it’s all top dollar maybe you can make 3 dollars a knife selling on ebay which is not really worth it. So should I get a license? I want more info plz. Are there real wholesale websites? If so Where? Any comments/suggestions welcome. Thank You!
Also I live in Washington there are businesses here who sell stuff cheaper then stores like returned store items etc, where can you buy such returned store items like electronic items from walmart that are returned etc? Thanx!

you have to buy stuff from india and china directly and sell it in washington, Walmart purchases stuff from india and china since manufacturing quality is good and price is low
