  • anybody know of any good wholesale sites to dropship from?

Posted by admin on August 12th, 2010 and filed under wholesale dropship | 5 Comments »

I am thinking about selling items on ebay via dropshipping but, because i am new to this type of business I am not sure of any good, reliable wholesale/dropshipping sites to use. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am looking to sell electronics mostly. Thanks

There are many dropshipping suppliers across the world. You didn’t mention your country. Your best option would be to find them from a B2B website such as http://catalogs.indiamart.com/ which will also let you contact the suppliers for free.

I know of a really good wholesale dropship site http://www.wholesalepages.co.uk/ other than eBay which is really good in providing services and may be you find this site even better than eBay and several other online wholesale sites.

      Worldwidebrands.com
      Doba.com
      Salehoo.com

These are probably the three largest and most trusted sources to find real and legitimate wholesalers.

Though I would recommend nobody sell on eBay because it’s so price driven that it’s nearly impossible to make any profit, especially if you are using dropshippers. Don’t forget eBay’s new fees where they take a ridiculous amount of the final sales price.

      Best of luck though :)

Just as a heads up, most of the most popular "wholesale" companies aren’t really sending you things directly from the manufacturer. They take some profit for themselves, which decreases your own profit margins. It doesn’t matter much if you have your own store/site but on eBay a few bucks makes a HUGE difference if you want to make sales and cover your costs (for listing, etc.).

I tried eBay dropshipping a while ago and have since moved on to other things. If you’re serious about it, you should use SaleHoo: http://tinyurl.com/SaleHooDropshipping

They’ve been going for like 5 years now, and have produced tons of eBay Power Sellers. eBay has a finicky policy regarding "selling objects you don’t have" (ie. dropshipping), but SaleHoo is on their good side and always fully compliant with all of their rules so you won’t get banned. It’s definitely the best route to choose. Good luck!

Also, if you can afford it should should go for the Auction Inspector upgrade. It really gives you the edge on other dropshippers and let’s you know where there is already too much competition. It’s worth it in the long run. I spent months trying to sell bundles of a certain video game from another supplier before finding SaleHoo and finding out there were more sellers than buyers for it.
