However, there are a couple ways to go around this. Sell the vehicle to one of the retail automobile dealers that you work with on a regular basis and have them sell it to the end user. Allow them to make $200 on the deal and have the customer sign a warranty waiver. Of course, you'll have to safety the vehicle yourself as well as pay the dealer for the expense of smogging it. The other option is to purchase the vehicle yourself from the automotive retail dealer you work with. You'll end up paying tax on it. Then you can sell it. However, this could be costly and you are limited to selling 7 vehicles year without having to have a retail license.
