First, I have created and LLC and aquired a state "sales, use and withholding" number from my state (your state may call it something else to allow you to collect state sales taxes if appropriate for you state).

Then, start looking for the products that you want. Thomas Register is one often used source by many companies to locate other companies. Also, many companies have product coming from Asia now, so using the internet to locate companies is very important.

Contact the desired companies and ask if they sell wholesale and who to talk with. That will be how you find the right person or group in each organization.

If a particular factory or organization does not want to talk with you, then you might need to join a buyers club to have more buying power to make the purchases that you want.

Another method is to go into organizations that do not compete with you and who may want to sell to and ask them how they contact certain organizations. In may cases, it will not be directly through a particular factory, but through a corporate group which that plant works for.

      Hope that this helps.
