I need to go shopping for my new place but have a budget. What are some discount stores such as Century 21, Marshalls, TJ Maxx and National Wholesale Liquidators in Manhattan where I can find things for the home?

Conway’s on 34th Street.

   My friend, may I recommend two.

   K-mart – 2 location (Astor Place, Penn Station)

   Jack’s 99 Cents Stores — 2 stores (32nd Street between 6th and 7th Avenues, 40th Street between 5th and Park Avenues)

   I am not clear from your question, but some of those listed have stores in New York. Century 21 is downtown, near to City Hall or WTC stop.

   TJ Maxx is at sixth ave and 18th street.

   Bed Bath and Beyond is close to there, Not really cheap, but they have lots of stuff.

   There are two Kmarts. One is at 34th and 7th and the other by Astor Place, one block east of broadway.

   There is a National Wholesale in Nearby Queens. Take the #7 train (42d st) to Lowery street, less than 15 minutes. Call them for exact location. (718 389-3311)
